The name of the blog was chosen as an ode to the passion for cycling that radiates from both the north and south of Belgium. Despite any differences that exist inside the country, one thing rings true and that is a love for the bicycle. Whether you are located south or north of center, Begium&#039;s combined passion and dedication to cycling is second to none. I certainly agree with you that the majority of Belgium&#039;s champions were Flandrian, Merckx, Verbeek, Museeuw, Schotte, Steenbergen, Riks I and II, Vanderaerden and, of course, Boonen. It&#039;s difficult to argue with Flanders&#039; ability to produce great cyclists. The list reads like a who&#039;s-who of hardmen. In my view, no other country loves cycling the way Belgium does.</description>
