What a great series… I went to youtube and watched up through 6 – but I found a flaw. During series 4, the Merckx era, while mentioning Thevenet (a Peugeot rider)finally beating Merckx, they continue showing Ocana (the BIC jersey) They never really show Thevenet at all, in fact Thevenet is only on screen for about a 1/2 second while getting passed by ocana…
Anon: A good question. First, it is important to note that the rule of no white tape before Memorial Day or after Labor Day is simply one I created for myself to honor my love for the peak season. With that said, I am not one to tell Quick Step how to define PRO. That would be like telling Michael Shumacher about what it feels like to go fast. If pressed, I would bet we see white in time for the RvV and Roubaix. – RF
Freddy – I’ve no other place to ask this question, so… In Paris-Nice, Quickstep have still got their black bar tape. Are they behind the game in switching to white or have they made the PRO call and not gone too early?
Thank you freddy for posting the videos on this blog. I am the one who uploaded the movies on youtube. I am glad that someone likes them.
Cheers!
You take the cake Freddy, where do you come up with this stuff. Love the intro with Kelly the ulitmate Road Warrior
…merci, monsieur radio freddy…
thanks. you totally killed my entire afternoon.
and how could kelly be so drunk and so wooden in front of the camera at the same time? classic rope-a-dope.

Tough as nails those old boys. Wonder what the riders of today would be able to do against them. I love history and this series is wonderful.
F’n awesome!
