Thes guys couldn’t carry the jocks of true north Georgia cycling pioneers like Jeff Gilbert and George Evans in Gainesville during the very early 80s. They blazed those mountain roads for hundreds of miles on imported bikes with the latest equipment and nobody in north Georgia cared. It is hard to see so many posers (especially from Athens) into the Georgia cycling scene – little do they know of the true glorious past of north Geogia cycling that was borne and bred in the Spoke and Pedal Bike Shop in Gainesville, 1980-1982.
Hi BKW, don’t know how to contact you other than through the comments, if unappreciated, my bad. I greatly enjoy your blog and have been following for a while. Radio Freddy is wonderful. I understand the origin of the blog name. Just one question, why “Belgium” and not “Belgian”?
Big, Big, Monkey Man !!
let`s face it, High Road served every one during this race. The joke is really on Astana and Slipstream, JV might want to get out of the car before he lets another Rusky do his sideburns.
Henderson’s face is what’s weirder to me, anyway.
He’s taking second place in stride, clearly. A good sportsman, with a sense of humor at that.
